Scientists probe the Brain's role in exercise limits

NCT ID NCT01614119

Summary

This study aimed to understand how the brain responds to exercise when oxygen levels are low, like at high altitudes. Researchers tested 30 healthy men using brain scans and other tools while they exercised in normal and low-oxygen air. The goal was to learn if the brain itself contributes to fatigue during exercise in these challenging conditions.
