Summary

This study aims to discover exactly how physical activity helps reduce depression symptoms. Researchers will compare an 8-week aerobic exercise program to a stretching program in 250 adults with moderate depression. They will measure changes in brain activity, body chemistry, and motivation to understand the underlying reasons exercise works.
