Summary
This study looks at whether eating a lot of protein, especially from animal sources, can make heart disease worse. Researchers will study blood samples from 24 adults aged 45-75 who are overweight but otherwise healthy. The goal is to understand how protein affects immune cells and plaque buildup in arteries, which could lead to better dietary advice or new medicines.
