Calf soreness weakens your whole back chain, study finds
NCT ID NCT07324395
Summary
This study aimed to understand how soreness in the calf muscle affects other muscles in the back and legs, and impacts physical performance like balance and strength. Researchers had 14 healthy young adults do a calf exercise to create soreness, then measured their muscle properties, trunk endurance, strength, and balance over several days. The goal was to gather knowledge that could help improve training and recovery strategies by showing how pain in one area can affect the whole body.
