Mind over movement: can changing your gut feelings about exercise make you stick with it?
NCT ID NCT07044570
Summary
This early research study aims to understand if changing people's automatic, gut-feeling attitudes toward physical activity can help them exercise more consistently. The study will involve 120 inactive adults who are overweight or obese, using smartphone prompts and Fitbit trackers to monitor both their thoughts and activity levels. Researchers want to see if specific intervention strategies can influence these subconscious attitudes and whether that leads to real changes in exercise behavior.
