Just 3 days off exercise could harm health in active seniors, study suggests
NCT ID NCT04812392
Summary
This study looked at how quickly taking a short break from regular exercise affects blood sugar control and blood vessel health in active older adults. Researchers compared 20 healthy, active older adults to younger adults by having them stop exercise for 3 days while monitoring their blood sugar and blood vessel function. The goal was to understand if older adults' bodies are more sensitive to short periods of inactivity.
