First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This phase 3 trial tests whether Houyanqing Oral Liquid, a Chinese herbal mix, can prevent or reduce severe mouth sores caused by radiation therapy in 386 nasopharyngeal cancer patients. Participants take the liquid four times daily during radiation, alongside standard care. The study aims to see if fewer patients develop grade 2 or worse mouth sores, and if their quality of life improves.
