Hot pack therapy: a quick fix for back pain?
NCT ID NCT07242183
First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tests whether a single session of moist hot-pack therapy can immediately reduce pain and muscle stiffness in adults with low back pain. Twenty-four participants will receive either a hot pack or a room-temperature pack (sham). Pain and stiffness are measured right after the session, with a short follow-up two days later. The therapy is low-risk and commonly used, but strong evidence on its immediate effects is lacking.
