App aims to crack the code on cancer treatment hot flashes

NCT ID NCT05222464

Summary

This study tested whether a patient portal app called MyChart could be used to help breast cancer survivors manage hot flashes, a common and bothersome side effect of treatment. Researchers enrolled 56 patients to see if they could use the app to track their symptoms and test different non-hormonal relief methods. The main goal was to see if using an app was a practical way to collect data and eventually use computer analysis to find the best personalized treatments for hot flashes.
