New tech vs. old prick: can a tiny sensor beat Finger-Sticks for hospital diabetes care?
NCT ID NCT06752928
Summary
This study is testing if a wearable continuous glucose monitor (CGM) is better than the standard finger-prick method for managing blood sugar in people with Type 1 diabetes while they are in the hospital. Researchers want to see if the CGM helps keep blood sugar in a safe range more often and prevents dangerous lows. They will enroll 100 hospitalized adults with poorly controlled Type 1 diabetes to compare the two monitoring methods.
