Hospital study asks: skip the shots, keep the pills?

NCT ID NCT04416269

Summary

This study is testing if people with type 2 diabetes can safely keep taking their usual diabetes pills while in the hospital, instead of switching to insulin shots. It will compare blood sugar control and safety between the two approaches in 255 hospitalized patients. The goal is to see if the simpler pill method works just as well for managing diabetes during a hospital stay.
