Scientists probe link between teen hormones and migraine pain
NCT ID NCT05738213
Summary
This study aims to understand how puberty and changes in sex hormones, like testosterone, influence pain sensitivity and migraine symptoms in adolescents. Researchers are comparing 100 teens aged 11-15, some with migraines and some without, to see how their hormone levels relate to their pain experiences. The goal is to gather knowledge about the biological factors behind migraine pain during puberty, not to test a new treatment.
