First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looks at how different types of hormonal birth control (pills, IUDs, or none) affect the way young healthy women process sugar. Researchers will give participants a sugary drink and take blood samples over two hours to measure glucose and insulin levels. The goal is to understand if birth control raises the risk of insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes.
