Summary
This study tested a method called HOPE, which gently pumps oxygenated cold fluid through donor livers before transplant. It included 266 adults receiving a liver from an older or higher-risk donor. The goal was to see if HOPE reduces early liver problems after surgery compared to standard cold storage.
