Blood test may spot hidden heart risk in newly diagnosed hypertension

NCT ID NCT07480265

First seen Apr 15, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looks at whether high levels of homocysteine (a substance in the blood) are linked to early signs of heart stiffness in people recently diagnosed with high blood pressure. Researchers will compare heart ultrasound results between those with normal and high homocysteine levels. The goal is to better understand risk factors and possibly predict heart problems earlier.
