First seen Apr 11, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tested whether home visits by healthcare providers during pregnancy improve outcomes for first-time mothers and their babies. 64 low-risk pregnant women in Turkey took part. Researchers measured changes in pregnancy knowledge, rates of vaginal birth, breastfeeding confidence, and signs of postpartum depression. The goal was to see if extra in-home support makes a difference compared to standard care.
