First seen Apr 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looked at whether having nurses or midwives visit pregnant women at home can improve their knowledge about pregnancy, increase chances of a vaginal birth, boost confidence in breastfeeding, and lower the risk of postpartum depression. The study included 64 first-time mothers with low-risk pregnancies in Turkey. Researchers compared outcomes before and after the home visits to see if this approach helps mothers and babies.
