Home visits for Moms-to-Be: a simple way to healthier births?
NCT ID NCT04628598
First seen Apr 11, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tested if having a nurse or midwife visit pregnant women at home (instead of just clinic visits) leads to better outcomes. It included 64 first-time mothers with low-risk pregnancies in Turkey. Researchers measured how much women learned about pregnancy and birth, whether they had a vaginal delivery, how confident they felt about breastfeeding, and their risk for postpartum depression.
