Wearable patch offers Drug-Free hope for debilitating pancreas pain

NCT ID NCT06721572

Summary

This study tested a small, wearable device that delivers mild electrical stimulation through skin patches to reduce abdominal pain in people with chronic pancreatitis. Forty-two participants used the device at home for several weeks to see if it helped manage their pain without medications. Researchers compared the real device to a fake one to determine if the electrical stimulation provided meaningful pain relief.
