Home vs. hospital: the stroke recovery showdown

NCT ID NCT07098286

ENROLLING_BY_INVITATION Disease control Sponsor: Duke University Source: ClinicalTrials.gov ↗

Summary

This study aims to see if an intensive, therapist-led rehabilitation program delivered at home is as effective for recovery as traditional inpatient rehab after a stroke. Researchers will observe about 500 patients who choose either the home-based program or a rehab facility, comparing their physical function and independence. The goal is to understand if receiving more therapy hours at home can lead to similar or better recovery outcomes.
