Home electrical stimulation offers new hope for regaining hand movement

NCT ID NCT07438353

Summary

This study is testing a home-based therapy program for people with chronic spinal cord injuries that cause arm and hand weakness (tetraplegia). The program combines a gentle, non-invasive electrical stimulation device worn on the back with a smartphone app that guides daily arm exercises. Researchers want to see if this approach is safe, practical, and can help improve hand function and independence for participants over a 22-week period.
