Can home visits and free water fight obesity in families?

NCT ID NCT03141346

Summary

This study tested whether a home-based education program could help prevent obesity in Hispanic mothers and their infants. Researchers worked with 211 mother-baby pairs, providing education about reducing sugary drinks and, for some families, delivering bottled water to their homes. The goal was to see if these lifestyle changes during the first two years after birth could lower the risk of unhealthy weight gain for both mothers and babies.
