Home kits and coaches aim to fight childhood obesity in rural areas

NCT ID NCT05858580

Summary

This study tested a 6-month home program designed to help children in rural areas develop healthier eating and activity habits to lower their future risk of type 2 diabetes and obesity. 72 children, aged 7 to 10, were randomly assigned to either receive the healthy lifestyle program or a separate educational program. The main goal was to see if the program was practical and acceptable to families, and to gather early data on whether it improved kids' diets and activity levels.
