Summary

This study is testing whether a new home-based palliative care program can improve comfort and quality of life for people with advanced dementia and reduce stress for their family caregivers. Researchers will compare the program to usual care for 300 patient-caregiver pairs in New York City. The program provides a care team that visits and calls to manage symptoms, coordinate care, and offer 24/7 support.
