Home injection option for bowel disease patients under review

NCT ID NCT07123350

Summary

This study looks at patients with Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis who are switching from receiving their vedolizumab medication through intravenous (IV) infusions at a clinic to giving themselves subcutaneous (SC) injections at home. Researchers will review the medical records of about 120 patients to see how well they do after the switch, what dosing patterns they follow, and whether they stay on the new treatment. The goal is to understand if the more convenient at-home option works as well as the clinic-based infusions for controlling these chronic bowel conditions.
