Cancer patients test their own blood at home in research breakthrough

NCT ID NCT04960059

Summary

This study tested whether cancer patients receiving immunotherapy could collect their own blood samples at home to measure immune system proteins called cytokines. Researchers worked with 24 patients who had advanced melanoma, kidney cancer, or lung cancer to see if home sampling was practical and reliable. The goal was to gather data that could help design future studies about how patients respond to immunotherapy treatments.
