At-Home brain zapping tested for Alzheimer's agitation

NCT ID NCT05478681

Summary

This small study tested whether a gentle, at-home brain stimulation treatment called tDCS is safe and acceptable for people with Alzheimer's disease who experience behavioral symptoms like agitation or apathy. Researchers worked with 3 patients and their caregivers to see if this non-invasive approach could help ease these challenging symptoms. The main goals were to check if patients could tolerate the treatment and monitor for side effects like itching or headache.
