First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looked at whether giving blood transfusions at home is practical and acceptable for people with advanced blood cancers who have a life expectancy of six months or less. Ten patients were enrolled to receive transfusions at home instead of in a clinic or hospital. The goal was to see if patients would agree to the program, complete their transfusions at home, and report their experiences. This approach aims to improve quality of life by reducing hospital visits.
