First seen Nov 15, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tests whether a safe, non-invasive brain stimulation method called tDCS can reduce depression symptoms when used at home. About 438 adults with moderate to severe depression will either receive tDCS plus their usual care or just usual care for 10 weeks. The goal is to see if adding tDCS leads to greater symptom relief.
