Doctors bring Life-Saving aneurysm checks to your living room

NCT ID NCT05617326

Summary

This study tests whether training family doctors to use portable ultrasound machines during regular visits can help more at-risk people get screened for dangerous abdominal aortic bulges. Currently, patients must be referred to specialists for this screening, which many don't complete. Researchers will compare if this new approach reaches more eligible men aged 50-75, particularly smokers and those with family history, within one year.
