China tests U.S. cancer treatment on kids to close care gap

NCT ID NCT04726501

Summary

This study is testing a well-established cancer treatment plan, originally developed in the U.S., on Chinese children and teenagers newly diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma. The goal is to see if this plan works as effectively in China, where the disease is rarer and drug access can be difficult, by measuring survival rates and identifying problems in current care. About 200 participants, aged 1 to 18, will receive chemotherapy and sometimes radiation, with treatment intensity based on how advanced their cancer is.
