What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
peripheral magnetic stimulation device (HiVE)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a drug-free option to reduce chronic back pain and improve daily function.
What could go wrong
This is an early-stage trial with only 88 people, so results may not apply to everyone. The device may not reduce pain more than exercise alone.
