New mRNA HIV vaccines enter human testing – could they teach the body to fight the virus?

NCT ID NCT07569029

First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026

Summary

This early-stage study tests two new mRNA vaccines designed to help the immune system make powerful antibodies against HIV. About 42 adults with well-controlled HIV will receive the vaccines and then take a closely monitored break from their regular HIV medications. The main goals are to check safety and see if the vaccines can trigger or boost the right immune responses.
