Scientists test nasal spray HIV vaccines in groundbreaking safety trial

NCT ID NCT03878121

Summary

This early-stage study is testing whether three new experimental HIV vaccines are safe for people. Healthy volunteers will receive two nasal spray vaccines followed by a booster shot, while researchers monitor for side effects and check if the vaccine viruses can spread to household members. The main goal is to see if these vaccines are safe enough to test further and if they trigger any immune response against HIV.
