Oxford scientists test 'Vaccinal Effect' to free HIV patients from daily pills

NCT ID NCT07054931

Summary

This Oxford University study is testing whether a combination of HIV vaccines and long-acting antibody infusions can help people with HIV control the virus without needing daily medication. The trial will involve 48 participants to see if this approach can train the immune system to fight HIV on its own for extended periods. Researchers will carefully monitor how long the virus stays controlled after participants temporarily stop their regular antiretroviral therapy.
