First seen Jan 16, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tests four different types of support—financial training, savings accounts, a cartoon-based adherence program, and mentorship from HIV-experienced role models—to see which combination best helps youth (ages 11-17) with HIV keep the virus under control. About 576 participants from 48 clinics in Uganda will be followed for 3 years. The goal is to find the most effective and affordable way to achieve long-term viral suppression.
