Village healers take on HIV testing for kids
NCT ID NCT07236905
First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looks at whether traditional healers in rural Uganda can offer HIV tests to children aged 18 months to 5 years. Researchers want to see if parents accept testing from a healer versus being referred to a clinic. About 400 children will take part, and the goal is to find better ways to reach kids who might otherwise miss testing.
