Scientists track drug safety for moms and babies
NCT ID NCT04518228
Summary
This study aimed to understand how the body processes HIV and tuberculosis medications during pregnancy and after birth. Researchers observed 205 pregnant and breastfeeding women who were already taking these medications for their health care. They measured drug levels in the mothers and their babies to see if standard doses provide enough protection during these special times.
