HIV Self-Test subscription boosts routine testing in MSM

NCT ID NCT06189729

First seen Mar 24, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tests whether mailing HIV self-test kits to men who have sex with men on a subscription basis encourages more frequent testing. 240 participants in Hong Kong will be reminded to test via text messages for part of the year, then receive actual test kits in the mail for the other part. Researchers will compare testing rates between the two periods to see if the subscription model works better.
