Scientists test new shot in quest to shrink hidden HIV

Summary
This study is testing if adding a new drug called lenacapavir to standard HIV medication can reduce the hidden, inactive virus that persists in the body. It will involve 50 adults whose HIV is already well-controlled with long-term therapy. Researchers will compare the size of these hidden virus reservoirs in people who receive the extra drug versus those who stay on their current treatment alone.
