New hope for treating AIDS-Related cancer in Resource-Poor regions

NCT ID NCT05411237

Summary

This study aims to determine if two different chemotherapy drugs work equally well for treating Kaposi sarcoma in people living with HIV in sub-Saharan Africa. The trial will compare paclitaxel against pegylated liposomal doxorubicin, with participants receiving one of these drugs every three weeks for six cycles. Researchers want to see which treatment better controls the cancer while causing fewer side effects in resource-limited settings.
