Salon stylists help fight HIV with new online video series
NCT ID NCT06638892
Summary
This study is testing a new online program called UPDOs Protective Styles to help more people in the southeastern United States start using PrEP, a daily pill that prevents HIV. The program uses weekly videos and blog discussions, delivered through beauty salons, to build trust and knowledge about PrEP. Researchers will compare this program to standard HIV prevention information to see if it helps more people get tested and start the prevention medication.
