NCT ID NCT06158126
First seen May 11, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looks at the safety of two HIV prevention methods—an injectable drug (CAB-LA) and daily pills (oral PrEP)—in pregnant and breastfeeding women in Malawi. About 621 women who are already using or start PrEP during pregnancy will choose their preferred option and be followed along with their infants through birth and after. The goal is to see if there are differences in pregnancy problems, maternal health, or infant health between the two groups.
