Rural HIV patients face long drives for Life-Changing injections: can a new clinic bridge the gap?

NCT ID NCT06451341

Summary

This study aims to understand the real-world experience of providing and receiving long-acting HIV injections for people who live far from their main HIV clinic. Researchers will work with about 55 patients and clinic staff in Nebraska and Iowa to identify the main barriers—like travel and privacy—and supports for getting these injections every month or two. The goal is to learn how to make this effective treatment more accessible and acceptable for people in rural areas.
