NCT ID NCT00029445

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study aims to understand why a small group of people with HIV, called long-term non-progressors, can control the virus for years without antiretroviral therapy. Researchers will collect white blood cells and plasma from up to 400 participants through apheresis or blood draws to study immune responses and genetic factors. The goal is to uncover how the immune system naturally fights HIV, which could inform future treatments or vaccines.
