Scientists probe gut and vaginal bacteria link to cervical disease in HIV+ women

Summary
This study aims to understand how the community of bacteria in the gut and vagina might influence a woman's risk of getting an HPV infection and developing cervical problems. It will follow 400 women living with HIV in China, collecting samples to analyze their bacteria and track their health. The goal is to gather knowledge, not to test a new treatment.
