One test, four diseases: new device aims to simplify screening in africa

NCT ID NCT07170748

Summary

This study is evaluating a new point-of-care medical device called MagIA H3S. The device is designed to screen for four major infections—HIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and syphilis—from a single blood sample. Researchers in Ivory Coast and Kenya will test its accuracy compared to standard lab tests using samples from about 3,000 people. The goal is to see if this faster, combined test can reliably detect these infections.
