Can honesty help kids with HIV? major ghana trial tests if disclosure improves health
NCT ID NCT04791865
Summary
This study is testing whether a structured program to help caregivers tell children (ages 7-18) their HIV status leads to better health. It involves 720 child-caregiver pairs across 12 clinics in Ghana. Researchers will compare health outcomes, medication adherence, and costs between those who receive the disclosure support program and those who receive usual clinic care.
