New program aims to keep moms and babies healthy in High-Risk HIV areas
NCT ID NCT05841797
Summary
This study tested a new support program for pregnant women with HIV in Kenya. The goal was to see if using a risk calculator to identify women who might struggle with their treatment, and then offering them tailored counseling and support, could help them stay in medical care and keep their virus levels low. This helps protect both the mother's health and prevents passing HIV to the baby.
