New program aims to bridge gap between HIV and cancer care

NCT ID NCT06934369

Summary

This study aims to develop and test support strategies to help people in Zimbabwe who have both HIV and cancer stay engaged in their HIV care while undergoing cancer treatment. Researchers will first observe 150 patients to identify barriers, then create support strategies with experts, and finally test these strategies with another 150 patients to see if they improve care engagement. The goal is to make it easier for patients to manage both conditions simultaneously.
