Scientists test antibody duo in bid to control HIV without daily pills

NCT ID NCT06987318

Summary

This early safety study is testing whether two lab-made antibodies can help control HIV when people temporarily stop their regular antiviral medication. It will involve 40 adults living with HIV who started treatment very soon after infection. Researchers want to see if the antibodies are safe and can keep virus levels low during this planned treatment pause, after which participants will restart their standard medication.
